Well, ok, maybe PRIVATE is a better term. The Bryant Woods Condo Assoc. held a private candidates night tonight at 7:00pm at the Bryant Woods Clubhouse. The Condo Association invited the selectmen candidates ONLY. And the meeting was CLOSED to all but Bryant Woods residents.
It has been reported that other candidates expressed interest in attending, and were told they were not invited. A letter was sent out indicating that the meeting was open ONLY to Bryant Woods Residents.
While this would not normally be unusual, what IS unusual is that Chief Consentino was there. arriving almost together with selectman's clerk Barbara Snicer. If this meeting was closed to anyone not a resident of Bryant Woods, then why were Consentino and Snicer there? Notably Jodi, the Chief's wife, was not there. This is troubling. With the Chiefs admitted and documented history of electioneering, are we to believe that he was not schmoozing the elderly at this meeting? After all, his cousin, selectman candidate Barbera, and his former second in command Billy Baldwin were both in attendance. As Phil has pledged support for both of them(at least to them, he has) this is a concern. Although rumor has it that Phil has also told interim selectman, and erstwhile candidates Shuster the same thing, according to Mr. Shuster, anyway.
So what was discussed? What was so important that the meeting had to be closed to the public? And why, if closed to all but Bryant Woods Residents, did they open the meeting to the prevaricator- in- Chief, and Mrs. Snicer?
Many questions, perhaps some Bryant Woods Residents can post and tell us all what really happened in there.

I suppose they can invite whmever they please, it being a private meeting.
I do however, find it curious tha the only two other ppl outside the residents and the candidates, were the two lbirds.
Maybe they crashed, figuring no one would have the nerve to ask them to leave? (The entitlement thing again)
I cannot believe this.
How much of Consentino can his elderly supporters take before they start questioning all the strange facts that they have ingnored up to this point.
Maybe there are only a few residents receiving services and we have seen the lucky few at the deliverative session.
He can't control himself. Politics make him like a 14 year old with Playboy magazine.

Hmmm... Let's See... a private meeting organized by a private organization held on their own private property with a private invitation list.
I think there's a recurring theme here.
Barbara and Phil have friends that live there. They were asked to organize the event. Sorry no bad bloggers allowed.
Would you put it in writing that Barbara and Phil organized the event and testify in court to that fact?
Are you able to understand a conflict of intrest when you see it, or do you care that they broke the law?
2:31pm; That can't be, because as town officials, the meeting should have been open to the public.

Mr. Baldwin can't manage his personl finances. He's deeply in debt. You want him handling town finances?
BAD IDEA.
Bill I love ya, man but you need to take go care of yourself. And your 50% attendance record at the school board ain't making me feel the love either.
Please promise you won't sue the town again.
Just the facts here. A lot of seniors have email and read the blog.
They are wondering, you're a nice young man but what are you thinking running for selectman? Will you show up? Will you direct RFPs and town funds away from Elderly Affairs to your personal business being in need of cash?
Scares the beJesus out of me.
Why doesn't someone publish Baldwin’s bankruptcy filing?
Does he have any overdue property tax bills not paid, or have they been forgiven by the town?
Will he stay in town once his house is gone? Will he meet his responsibilities as selectman if he gets into office?
Will he cut and run like he did on the school board, or will Uncle Consentino pay him not to attend meetings out of his PRIVATE 501-C fund?
Let's face it folks,
Relative Barbaera = Consentino's Puppet,
Indebted Baldwin = Consentino puppet
Rumpswarb Sullivan = Consentino Puppet.
All of them are in the race to help Consentino get one of his people into office so he can get a quorum for another new police car and anything else he deems he WANTS but NOT NEEDED..
The only reasonable choices we have in the selectman race are New Blood Raymond Fournier or Newbie Craig Schuster. Any other choice will only aid Conman’s vote getting scheme.
For all the voters that realize that Consentino is the biggest problem we have in town, call all your friends and neighbors and let them know why Barbaera, Baldwin, and Sullivan really are in the race. Let them know it’s not for THEIR best interest.
We only have two good candidates this year, let’s concentrate on them. Let’s Concentrate on Mr. Fournier or Mr. Schuster in the hopes they will do their job. We want REAL CHANGE, not the same old business as usual that Baldwin, Barbaera, and recycled Sullivan will bring to the table.
JMO
Knowing that Mr. Baldwin is broke begs the question of who paid for his beautiful political signs for slectman? They don't give those signs away!
Is Billy so IRESPONSIBLE that he's depriving his family of food and shelter to run for a $3000.00 a year job plus 20 hours a week, instead of taking care of his family?
OR
Did Consentino pay for them out of his 501-C fund that was suppose to be used for the elderly? If that fund were still under the control of the selectmen, we would be able to find out. Since Consentino got it under his control, we have no way to find out. SEE THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST YET?
Do you see why the selectmen NEED to get the Elderly Affairs dept. moved to the Community Center?
Do you see that Consentino is setting up yet another lawsuit? Do you see how the corrupt system is stealing your money yet? Do you see why you need to take control by attending Deliberative Session and stop the foolishness that goes on there?
What was suppose to be on the ballot has been corrupted so you can't vote on the real issues. You will only vote on what the Conman and his minions wants you to see and vote on.
Next year come out in force and take your town back. Next year JUST SAY NO to the Conman and his Minions.
To 5:20pm;
I beg to differ. I served with Paul Sullivan on the budget committee, and found him to be an honorable man. I remember when the Fire Dept. came in with their budget Paul recused himself(without anyone having to ask him to) to avoid "the perception" of a conflict because he was a part time volunteer EMT. Under the ordinance he did not HAVE to recuse himself, he just did it.
Compare this to the 3 Court Cases needed to force Phil to obey the law.
Also When he was a selectman, he is on camera, calling out Jack, when Jack was lying to the town about having gotten advice from Sumner.
Jack claimed that he had talked to Sumner and Sumner had advised him to remove the "blog signs" around town. Paul had called Sumner that day and asked him and Sumner told Paul that he told Jack just to leave them alone. When Jack lied on camera, Paul had the stones to call him out on camera.
You can see the video on You Tube or the taxpayer website. It MAY be on the home page of this site.
I know that Paul did not like to stick his neck out when he was selectman, but that had a lot to do with the fact that he had two corrupt selectmen and he was the lone voice of dissent.
I had to post this, as I could not let you slander an honorable man.
I hope they at least discussed the Plaistow Train Layover at the Bryant Woods meeting. Or was it all politics and raising money? From reading the blog you'd think someone placed a gag order on the shindig. For all we know Phil and Barbara did a dance routine. So what was discussed? I know you're just itching to tell us all you invitees.
Once again AR2 gets it wrong. AR2, don't let facts get in the way of a good fairy tale. The Bryant Woods folks hosted a selectmen's candidates night. There was nothing clandestine about it. It was much like the AWCC candidates night where the 5 candidates presented and then there was a question and answer period. Phil was there, Barbara was not. We spoke to the issues and yes, the train layover station was discussed and I spoke in depth about it as I have been very active in fighting this and the only candidate to do so.
If you want to see the contents of my speech, email me at todd_barbera@comcast.net and I will gladly send you both my AWCC speech as well as my Bryant Woods speech. As for me being Phil's cousin, that is partly true. Phil is a 3rd cousin of mine. I met Phil in 2009. The only reason that this is even known as I have been open about it. I've never been to his house nor he mine, but AR2 wants to make much ado over a red herring. So it goes. If you have any questions about me or my candidacy, you have my email and my phone number is listed. I will gladly answer any questions. Don't bother asking them here as I will not use this as a forum for a back and forth.
Todd Barbera
Forgive me, but I think the "secret" was meant in the way it was unannounced, closed to the public, closed to candidates other than the selectmen candidate invited.
Todd,
Since you are a cousin to the biggest lightening rod in town, don't you see the conflict of interest in becoming a selectman?
Whomever authored this article used the term "secret" to infer something bad or illegal was going on. Kind of like the secret meetings our BOS likes to hold now and then (any non-published quorum even if they don't make a motion and ask for all in favor - they know exactly what I'm talking about).
The word private is more appropriate. I don't begrudge the several hundred residents of Bryant Woods holding meetings in any form to protect their property values. Their condo association does it anyway. It's their right and as far as I'm concerned they can meet 24/7, in private. It's great to see voters get organized that are not under obligation to Phil. Which is why you saw him there trying to extend his intimidation efforts. God forbid their be some voters who get organized who he can't control.
At the end of it all, if their property values go down, my tax bill goes up. just how it works and that's the fact, Jack.
You say Mr. Barbera has a conflict of interest. You have to explain what the conflict is. Nothing under the Atkinson Conflict of Interest ordinance indicates a conflict.
I'm sure Mr. Barbera is thrilled to admit he's 3rd cousin to Phil. Just beyond thrilled.
He's a victim of marital happenstance. You can pick your friends but can't pick your relatives. As we all know. Right Uncle Leon?
Did you know property values increase in a 1 mile radius when a station arrives. That means Bryant's value increases and our taxes decrease. Why would you want to be against that?
Can't ya here da whistling blowing?
If that's the case then ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARD!
Who do you think is the right candidate for the school board. I really dont know any of the three.
To Anon February 24, 2012 9:16 AM
He would have to recuse himself from voting on the Police Budget or any other police issue.
See the Conflict now?
Why would we want a person who admits to being in conflict before the election, to be elected?
Anon @ 1:11PM,
I'd suggest you read the Conflict of Interest ordinance located on our Town website. There you will see a definition of family. For your convenience:
http://www.town-atkinsonnh.com/documents_and_forms/Conflict_of_Interest_Ordinance-1.pdf
FAMILY Includes spouse, parents, stepparents, grandparents, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, brothers, stepbrothers, sisters, stepsisters, and in-laws.
Notice that cousins are not listed. Since I'm not even a direct cousin of Phil's, but a distant one, I fail to see where the conflict exists. I will say it again. I met Phil in 2009 through my work with the Town. I have not been to his house, nor he mine nor have I ever been to a family gathering where he was present. How many people know their second cousins, never mind their third cousins. This is a red herring.
BTW, perhaps you should drive by Phil's house and see whose signs are in his front yard.
"He would have to recuse himself from voting on the Police Budget or any other police issue."
Stop being so silly, this forum is for truth and justice. You know your statement is so wrong that it's silly.
If you're right, you should've filed a conflict of interest complaint already because as Budget Committee Chairman Todd already made decisions on the PD budget. I watched the Budcom meeting with Phil which is must see TV. I think Phil proposed a flat budget with little or no increase over last year & BudCom cut about $20K off. I didn;'t see any favoritism.
It was more like they were trying to tolerate Phil but weren't putting up with his unjustified shananagins. Harold basically yelled at Phil at one point. Funny stuff.
Also, go read the Atkinson Conflict of Interest ordinance and then come talk to me. Do your homework before you slander people.
Baldwin has the conflict. He can't vote on any issues regarding Plaistow who he now works for. You think he can be impartial and vote against Plaistow who pays his salary? Think again. he'll have to recuse himself regularly on important issues.
Regarding Bill Baldwin: "Think again. he'll have to recuse himself regularly on important issues."
Oh Yeah, Atkinson spends most meetings on a rugular basis talkin bout Plaistow. In fact, word has it, we
may succeed into Plaistow.
More silly, foolish, blah, blah, blahs about nothing.
When was the last issue he would have had to recuse? The train station realistically will have no imput from Atkinson. Don't try and use that foolish point. All the candidates that have spoke to this issue are just playing on the Bryant Condo Assc fears and emotions. It's rather comical.
Transportation Job 1, we need the station Big Brother is paying for it. No voted needed!
Todd,
Think back and tell us if you've ever had a conversation or a "Wink or a Nod" from Mr. Consentino that would indicate that he was going to throw his Elderly Affairs vote getting scheme behind your candidacy? Yes, or no?
Please tell us that you realize that without those votes, you don’t stand a chance of winning the selectmen seat you want.
Not every contingency can be planned for in a conflict of interest ordinance. Your candidacy might be a reason to add one.
Common sense should help you recognize a conflict of interest. We believe you to be a good person but might be misguided. Please don’t prove to the public that we are wrong.
Baldwin would have conflict on the dispatch Plaistow PD provides and Atkinson pays for plus any mutual aid issues. Regarding the train station, what if Atkinson pursued a legal remedy against Plaistow to at least put up noise barriers or some mitigation. Baldwin would have to vote to sue his boss.
To Anon February 24, 2012 9:16 AM
You are right when you say: You can pick your friends but can't pick your relatives.
What distresses you most are we still have the right to pick our elected officials.
With you in office..........surely you will be working to take that right away.
Right Uncle Sullivan?
"Wink or Nod" ??
Wink wink, kiss kiss hug hug?
Or is it wink, hug, nod, kiss?
Maybe a secret squirrel wink, a Scooby Doo nod, then a Barney Fife handshake?
ROTFLMAO

More interested in Todd's response to February 24, 2012 4:05 PM, than your foolishness. Then again, what would you expect from Todd"s cousin.
Go back to sleep Conman, Todd has more class in his little finger than you have in your whole body.
It's really almost pointless to respond. This poster is most likely aligned with another candidate and is trying desperately to undermine me.
The poster says not every contingency is accounted for in the CIC ordinance. Let's see, I guess it could start by including aunts and uncles. Then maybe they could move on to first cousins and then second cousins. Maybe we should go all the way back to Adam and Eve and declare that EVERYONE has a conflict. That bit of hyperbole is to make a point, that the anons assertions are ridiculous.
Phil has not offered up the elderly vote nor have I asked for it. I took three days out of work and worked three senior luncheons trying to earn their vote. I went to the AYB Annual Meeting trying to earn their vote. I've attended multiple meetings and events of various sorts in order to get out and meet people. In other words, I'm working for every vote I can get. If I win this election, it will be because I have earned it.
Question at Candidates night:
"Which of you Selectman Candidates is willing to kiss a big dago butt and keep Elderly Affairs illegally part of the Atkinson Police Department to insure your election as an Atkinson Selectman?"

Candidate's Night Question: What are you willing to do to restore honor and uphold the rule of law as Selectman?
Can #1. What law? I'll screw the Statue of Liberty to get what I want. Look how I screwed the taxpayers giving my fellow selectmen that new legal slush fund! I EARNED my votes!
Can #2. I'd grind my heel in the eye socket of any citizen that challenges the right to lawful nepotism in our police department. I love the elderly, the po-lice and Jack Sapia. I criticized your flagrant removal of the blog campaign signs before an election....Jact, oh Jack, Jack. Please forgive me. I was just pandering to the public on TV. I didn't mean a word of it. Please line up the Mafia Elderly vote for me. You know who. Just get your head out of that Smelly Place long enough to beg for me. -- Moderator Snitcher...,, what was the question again???
Can #3. My job in Plaistow is in conflict so I cannot vote to uphold law in Atkinson because of the MUTUAL aid agreement between Plaistow and Atkinson, but I can come to at least one BOS meeting.. maybe...if the stars align.
Can #4. Heck, I am the only appointed Selectmen and I voted to uphold the law and the State Attorney General, and the MRI report results to separate the Elderly Affairs from the police department to avoid potential graft. But then I got my facts straight and I am willing to sell out my integrity and vote for the mafia block that has the power. Unlike Can Date #1, however, i am unwilling to screw the Statue of Liberty...but when it comes to only my integrity...Yeee Haaa, get out the Astroglide!!!!!
Can #5. Who me? You ask "What about upholding the law in Atkinson?" This could be a desirable outcome of my deliberation with my fellow Selectmen. Hovever, to make any real lrogress, Frank Polito's faulty interpretations of the law will need be banned if I am elected. He will no longer be allowed to mislead the selectmen or people of the town if I am elected Selectman. My name is Fornier.
Todd, with all due respect, I think the question being asked is;
Will you exhibit the personal honor and integrity displayed by Paul Sullivan on budget committee years ago, where he recused himself to "avoid the appearance of a conflict"(which is in the ordinance) EVEN THOUGH the particular relationship he had with the fire dept. did not specifically REQUIRE him to do so?
To the juveniles who insist upon posting here; There was a time when this blog was a place for discussions that if had in public would have gotten us followed through town by the chief. When issues that did not get exposed in public got exposed here, where ideas free flowed across this blogs pages.
It is disheartening to see it degenerate to the mindless babble of unsupervised children.
Mark,
The only real conflict I would have would be when the supervisors of the checklist come before the board as my wife is one. I would recuse myself from any votes pertaining to them. Both my wife and I work for companies out of state that do not do business with the Town so we're not in a position for potential financial gain.
I served a 2 year term on the Budget Committee. I also function as a department head (Technology Committee). When I presented my budget to the Budget Committee, I recused myself from voting on my own budget even though there were no legal constraints preventing me from doing so. Like Paul, I did this to avoid the appearance of a conflict. To suggest, however, that me voting on EA or PD affairs is a conflict because Phil is a distant cousin that I met in 2009 is laughable. My standards for any Town official are that they work within the constraints of the law, be it the selectmen, a department head, or an employee.
We know you are a Sullivan supporter, Mark. But when it comes to protecting citizen or answering Right To Know requests Mr. Paul Sullivan babbles and fumbles and often comes up short. He is childish when it comes to doing the right thing. He is prone to hide behind his overused pronouncement (as prior selectman), "I will take it under advisement!".... like he is a judge/lawyer instead of a political hack. Frankly, It fascinates me how real estate developers pose themselves as "statesmen" so they can benefit financially from the town.
It is regrettable this slate of selectmen candidates lacks integrity and that you, Mark, often "go along, to get along".
Who suffered the damage to his property and business and does continue to use his own name on the site? He does! Your a gut less bastard to say what you have and for your calling him an mark assholeyard. I hope your followed around and have what was done to him to you by the CONMAN and his skinhead followers. Time for screwballs like you to be at your house of worship praying for forgiveness, that is if you believe in what you sow you get in return .
You will observe that Todd is the only candidate so far who has posted here under his own name. Given the reputation of this blog this, in my opinion, takes guts.
The person trying to make an issue out of being a 3rd cousin is indeed being ludicrous.
Also, unlike past candidates, Todd has worked to gain the necessary experience to prepare himself.
I worked briefly with Todd. I believe him to be honest, sincere, and quite frankly, brave to put himself under the microscope.
What I like most is Todd is not part of the old guard. He is fresh face, and boy, does this town need that. Would you like Sapia back?
You can take this or leave it, I don't care. But after seeing all the nonsense in this blog and the BOS over all the years, Todd has earned my vote.
To the moderator - Your track record over the years for accurately reporting the facts has left much to be desired. It is clear you have an agenda and distortion of the facts is your modus operandi. This is a major reason this blog does not have the impact the old one did.
to 9:57;
It is not that I am supporting anyone, I just wanted to correct incorrect statements made about him. Having worked with him on town committees, and having had the opportunity to observe his conduct first hand, I found him to be honorable. I can pay him no higher compliment. If only ALL town officials acted as he.
To Todd February 24, 2012 6:23 PM
Couldn't help but notice you didn't answer Anon's question about if you believe you can win without your cousin's elderly vote.
Yes or no?
Why doesn't the administrator here delete the posts that are quite obviously only put here to try to detract from the blogs ability to present information?
There isn't a true free speech issue if the post is only meant to take up space and look foolish. Delete the damned stupid posts...
Old people scamed in Atkinson.
We are in a mell of a hess
Maybe it is because when the moderator deletes idiotic post, you people complain that they are deleting posts that dissent from the party line.
Can't have it both ways.
A RICO investigation of the town
for sure.
Just wondering what kind of error it was when Baldwin was making his signs, (which btw make me want to stop and salute everytime I drive by). Is it Billy's ego that makes him think he will be more than one voice thus his signs indicate he will be a selectmen or is it his lack of english grammar that made that error on his signs.
Either way, I think he should stick to his day ( I mean nite) job.
Wow I happened to be over at Granite Fields in Kingston the other day and saw Mr Barbera enjoying a couple soccer games and introducing himself to some soccer dads and moms. Nice work Todd, I didnt see Baldwin there working the crowd!
10:14
Find me a previous post that complains about deleting dissenting ideas in a previous article please.
Besides, no one is talking about deleting dissenting opinion. What we're talking about is deleting insubstantial, nonsensical clutter meant to turn rational people away from using this blog as a source of discourse and information. If you examine the quality of the posts from the last few years, it's hard to miss the decline in quality.
PLEASE DELETE POSTS THAT ARE MEANT AS LITTLE MORE THAN NOISE AND CLUTTER...
mark bla bla bla
put all the crack pots, mark leon carol ect on a train in plaistow and ship them to another country
To 12:15 p.m. I think that those people who you refer to, are the ones who use common sense, and really care for the good of the town.
Hey Leon,
Mr Sullivan put you in your place the other nite. Great job Paul! If Todd wasnt in the race and you werent secretly in the sack with Friel you'd be my man, Like you were last time.
For example, here is an example of the USELESS CLUTTER that needs removal
put all the crack pots, mark leon carol ect on a train in plaistow and ship them to another country
Throw these bums out of our country of Fatherland-Atkinson. Make em move to another country...Over to Plaistow.
Llive Free or Die New Hampshire is another country with different laws and rules from ours here we make up and enforce in our Totalitarian country of Atkinson. Ya. Make all the complainers move out to a 3rd. world country like New Hampshire.... outta our rich little country of Atkinson.
MOVE!
anyone who insists upon others moving is clearly the problem. pshychotic behavior at its worst.
What's with the 'Right Uncle Leon?' comment?
Leon is not running for anything, so no conflict there.
You missed the joke.
We all missed the joke. Guess it wasn't much of a joke.
To Anon February 27, 2012 4:19 PM
YOU think? LOL
Hey Billy,
I see your #one priority is the train station. What the the founding fathers in Plaistow going to think when you go against their wishes???
Just wondering
Looks like Sullivan runs his business like his politics. Gotta pity his customers.
Wow, some of you people are just nasty and have nothing better to do than post a blog about someone's misfortune (i.e. - Mr. Baldwin's home being foreclosed on?) That is hitting way below the belt. What about all that Mr. Baldwin has done? Be it for Atkinson or this Country? Maybe some of his 50% attendance had to do with him serving our country in Iraq. Why is it you have to get personal? I understand people get passionate about politics however, you don't have to be so rude and insensitive and make personal comments about him and taking care of his family. This makes me so happy that I am no longer a resident of Atkinson!
9:07;
Billy never served in Iraq. He was on a ship in the Gulf 400 miles from the shooting.
Bill should have stepped down from his post on the School Commitee while he was unable to serve the Town, rather than to leave the Town unrepresented.
ps - where's the pay we loaned him?
Actually, "Billy" did serve in Iraq. If my memory serves me correct, he did two tours of Duty in the Middle East.
Also, make public the books that show he was loaned money. I bet you can't!!!
All this petty Atkinson politics is why most people won't volunteer or run for elected positions.
Give me a break. Honest people won't volunteer because if they won't do Consentino's bidding, their car and home get vandalized.
ONLY crooks WHO ARE IN THE CONMAN'S BACKPOCKET get backed by his elderly vote getting scheme.
The evil spawn of the "founding fathers" of Plaistow may be in for a shock. Haverhill Mayor Fiorentini reminded residents in an email today that their input is needed on the MBTA"s plan to severly cut back train service. The MBTA wants to end all weekend service to Haverhill and weekday service after 10:00 PM. Does this sound like an organization capable of building and operating a new train layover in NH near the Haverhill, Atkinson, Plaistow border in a clean and safe manner? Not to mention running a schedule that is of no interest to passengers other than daily commuters.

Phil claimed he was in Iraq. His first tour was in Kuwait, his second on a ship in the Gulf. NEITHER tour was incountry. He is in the Coast Guard, not the Marines.
He used to be in the Marines!
Yes, He went into the Corp. right after dropping out of college his first semester, After his four years he cross serviced to the Coast Guard.
He used to claim " I was in the Marines for TEN YEARS!" He wasn't.

Truth hurts. I don't want a selectman who can't show fiscal competence. His school board attendance as an elected Atkinson rep is abysmal. We've had no representation from him in my opinion.
I get the whole deployment thing. It's got nothing to do with whether or not he'd make a good selectman. Or selectmen per his sign. The election isn't about being a good soldier.
If he can't manage his personal finances I've got no faith he can handle town finances (ie. OUR MONEY). If he can't do better than 50% attendance on school board I've got not faith he'll show up for the BOS job. Why on earth would I take the risk? He sued the town over circumstances not worthy of a lawsuit.
I can't vote for Mr. Baldwin. I hear he's a nice guy and a good soldier. He should focus time on his family and personal problems.
I don't feel he's qualified to be a Selectman, ever.
JMHO
Funny Phil Consentino has time to write a letter to the editor, see Eagle Tribune today.
He doesn't seem to have time to post the police log to the ET. He claims he sends it in but they don't post it.
Only post was the day before the Deliberative Session, was that in case someone mentioned that Atkinson Police Log is never posted?
Phil's trying to remain relevant. Dictating voting instructions to the obligated vulnerable seniors. A sick, twisted scam.
Read the opinion page. He is actually telling ppl to vote the against the article he negated.
hahahahahahahaha
and I will.
Now they are all scrambling to fix his moronic editorial.
This is your leader. hahahahaha
People on this blog have been trying to take Consentino down for years, but he is still there, doing his thing with more support than ever. If taking Consentino down is the objective, then you're failing miserably.
If truth be failure then you'd be right . The basis of our system of life and living is based on truth. If it were not truth then we'd be a long ago humanity. Civilization in and of itself would never be i9n existence for as long as it has been. Except for the fact we are human and need to react to one another because we need one another to exist because we are and always will be a social needing race of peoples.

You can pump up the PR BS all you want. Phil loses support by the day. he no longer has BOS support. Nobody in TH is going out of their way to help him. He no longer has PD officers support now they openly defy him. his main boy Baldwin fled to Plaistow and his gun losing deputy dawg retired, thank God. Anyone paying attention knows he's a joke. His senior base is all that's left and its slowly eroding and has been for some time. Look at the nonsensical letters he sends to the Tribune.
The house of cards is crumbling. Just a matter of time and its all over. He has a Baldwin sign in his front yard. Election results will show Phil's influence no longer sways an election. Mark my words.
To the above,
Oh, I sure do hope so.
I have never seen someone who has done so many wrongs be defended by so many vulnerable and at risk people.
This guy is disgusting.
A senior that has his self worth.
What would YOU say about a police chief who;
Had to be ordered by court to obey the law.
found in contempt of court for violating order
took the 5th 31 times when being asked about buying a car for the PD, and running elderly affairs.
I spoke with Mr. Todd Barbera at great length. He's the first person I've felt comfortable with in a long time. Todd you have my vote and I've been talking to many people who support you. You've already done so much for town leading the technology committee and Budget comm. Finally a person with no agenda. Just plain old fashioned smarts and common sense. Todd you've got my support.
We still aren't sure who we will vote for...I respect all that Todd Barbera has done & he doesn't seem to have an agenda. On the other hand, we like what Craig Schuster said about moving EA to the CC. Phil can run it from there & retire from the PD. It's TIME!!! Like Mr. Schuster said, a new chief isn't going to want that extra job...it doesn't have anything to do w/the police dept. This whole topic is ridiculous....Plenty of seniors agree w/us!
Thanks, Cousin Phil! Nice touch posting those signs for another candidate on your front lawn. The sheeple of Atkinson will never catch on.
I'm just kidding!!
We're talking about Selectman of Atkinson here, not the President of the United States. No need to gush over small town candidates. Locals might confuse it with drool.
I wish Mr. Fournier would come on here and post about his views. I don't want to overlook anyone.

Why thank you!
What is your position on transparency, and would you support fully separating the Elderly program from the Police Department while retaining or improving services to ALL?
I'd like to know if you woud have any conflicts of interest if elected. Any relatives working for the town?
Are any of the Selectmen candidates talking about the elephant-in-the-room, Chief Consentino? I'll bet not.
It's really too bad that no one can ask/answer the real questions.
Responding to Anon March 6, 2012 8:59 AM
Raymond Fournier says:
Open honest transparency at all levels of government is necessary to maintain voter confidence and educate on the issues. Without knowledge, how does one make intelligent decisions? This policy should apply to all town departments, including selectmen. (As the law allows)
Currently, the debate on moving elderly affairs has been heated and seems to be more about one person, than the running of the department. Reports run from, the department is being run very effectively, to other reports that there is room for improvement.
When elected, that issue will be on the selectmen's agenda, and we will work to improve services and correct any failings.
With the election almost upon us, it might be unfair of me to take a firm stand on the Atkinson Reporter, since that is a ballot warrant article the voters will be addressing.
As a citizen (not an elected official) there may be factors that I am unaware of, so I see no reason to move the department at this time. I will be very interested in election results to see what the "will of the people" has to say.
To Anon March 6, 2012 11:21 AM
Raymond Fournier says:
I am pleased that you brought that subject forward and happy to assure you (as I did at candidates night) that I have no relatives living in this town or am I related to any present or past town official.
In addition, I do not have any affiliations with any special interest groups or a member of any clubs or Association to interfere with my judgment on town issues.
If I were to have a special interest, it is my responsibility to the citizens of Atkinson.
Hope this has set your mind at ease regarding my candidacy.
For the first time since I came to Atkinson we seem to have a plethora of good BOS candidates to chose from.
Todd has worked hard for the town, is smart, and has demonstrated no agenda other than to improve our town. And stop bringing up the cousin thing. Unless you live in a small, isolated community 3rd cousins mean nothing. It certainly wasn't his choice.
Craig has shown he gets it. The way he kept shaking his head at the Deliberative Session shows he does not suffer fools, and that was almost everyone who spoke. We'd have to hope he can find his voice and be his own man on the board.
Mr. Fournier has impressive credentials and I believe intelligent and sincere. And, he is only the second to speak here. I like that.
What a shame we can only pick one. I've already made my decision and it will be one of these three. All new blood not tied to past. For the two who lose I hope you try again next year, and the year after that.
As for Mr. Sullivan. A good guy but he found his voice too late in his term. Putting Sapia in his place is still a classic but needed to happen much sooner. The man still needs a plug for his pie hole.
Lt. Baldwin. Sorry. His school board tenure was a disaster and I see no reason to expect any different if elected to the BOS. And I'm still not happy with his suing his employer, us, and the military leave pay fiasco. Nice guy but we need new faces who will not be under a conflict of interest cloud.
One final note to whomever is elected. Do not let Mr. Sapia or the chief continue their habit of hijacking the BOS meetings. If they talk out of place, remind them and ask them to sit down.
Thanks Mr. Fournier.
The candidates should all write editorials to express their positions to the voting public. People need to know where you stand and it would be great if you all took me up on it.
I worry about the outcome of voting to keep the EA and PD together. The Chief will not be around forever and then we will be stuck looking for, not only a Part Time Chief, but someone who has to run the EA program out of the PD. It constricts things unnecessarily and it makes no sense to do things this way anymore.
BTW, I am not stupid, do not need or want to be told how to vote and think all the electioneering in the Town Report by the Police Chief and Elderly Affairs Director needs to be addressed by his bosses.
Wow. Thank you for posting the resume of Mr. Fournier. I am impressed He was the mystery candidate I couldn't understand.
What he writes is logical and dignified. I will vote for him.
I was stuck between two bad alternatives, Barbera and Sullivan.
Fournier seems wonderful but I want to meet him. I think I can now stop worrying about who to vote for next week.
All the other candidates sold out to get the Elderly affairs vote backed by the police department. That turned me off big time.
My opinion is the police department should concern itself with police matters only, and not engage in town politics or go after elderly voters who are easy to intimidate.

EIGHT calls in February and they are asking for a SIXTH Police Officer and another car?
WE DON'T NEED THIS.
Ray,
Thanks for your eloquent postings.
Seems to me that a street number would help us all to see where these things happen. Is there a reason for not having them ? If there is then why post these happenings at all at any location or site.
I don't believe they want us to know the street number because these logs are incomplete and somethings are made up.
You used to be able to go to the station and read the log. You would see all the redactions done each day by the Chief.
Boy talk about being honest and forth right with truth! It is time for the change in the department asap . Get rid of the Conman and retire or find a way to rid the department of his family to better serve the town .
Certain individuals have a stranglehold on public information in this town. The Chief, Barbie, the new TA, and the Selectmen with the undocumented decisions.
There was a sexual assoult? Where is the information about the person arrested? This is public information and there HAD to be an arrest.
The assault on Atkinson Academy. Maybe it was at the school but we won't know.
Maybe at a Town building. They are mostly on Academy.
Maybe it was at the PD. LOL
There will never be street numbers listed in the police logs no matter what the crime or danger to the community. Can you image the hue and cry if the Chief were forced to out one of his big donors as a wife or husband beater. And the cry would be even more shrill if they were later cleared in court. We should be used to this stuff by now. It's a side effect of the corruption.
Law is law and we have the right to know who is doing what in police reports. Why do the crime or make a report of one if its not to be exposed for the publics observation? Is there any thing in the oath of office that says one has the right to sweep under the rug what happens in town?
When someone walks into the Police Department to file a report of any crime, the initial log item reflects the Police Department address, on Academy Avenue. Hence, a sexual assault on Academy Avenue. Not brain surgery people.
We aren't talking about police station walk ins . We want more information of the calls and crimes committed or alleged violations of law at an address beside of the walk ins at the station. The knowledge of these things is the safety factors with in the community. Got it?
Who here believes that Consentino intentionally post the police log to his best interest, as compared to what is in the best protection of the town?
If you believe that is not in the best interest of the people he is sworn to protect, WHY are we allowing the selectmen to not reappointing him?
How much are we paying for police protection now? I stopped counting when it reached $800,000 / year. What a racket. It's the taxpayer that's being raped. Put that in your police log, Phil. The address is Atkinson Police Department 27 Academy Ave.
"We aren't talking about police station walk ins . We want more information of the calls and crimes committed or alleged violations of law at an address beside of the walk ins at the station. The knowledge of these things is the safety factors with in the community. Got it?"
I was talking about walkins, as in this has been going on for years. I was the one who brought it up. Got it?
What if it was a sexual assault behind the library, in the town hall
in front of the fire department, the school or the Kimball House?
There is a lot of property on Academy Ave. I would like to know where the assault happened? Right now I do not have a clue.
If this was a walk in the report still needs to indicate the location of the assault and the public informed for their own safety and that is not brain surgery.
How do we know anything happened? Remember that "terroristic threat" on Pope Rd? I suspect this is all made up.
Do a RTK on the assault police report.
This kind of stuff didn't seem to bother Billy Baldwin when he took part in the 99 year sealing of the Timberlane School Board meeting records on the sexual predator teaching at the school. He gets my NO vote for Selectman. I consider it payback. Maybe votes from the teachers union members in Atkinson will put this "family man" over the top. Good Luck with that!
And I'm not from Danville. I'm a resident of Atkinson and have kids in school.
To serve and protect? HA!
Did you all see the blatant electioneering in the Carriage Towne News by our Police Chief today?
The funny thing is, he has it backwards again!
http://www.carriagetownenews.com/letterstotheeditor/x606742906/Chief-Seeks-Your-Support
I got it but do you get it? A number or the publishing of the name of the business such as the police department is necessary . Academy Ave. is a long street with a lot of numbered address's as are the many other streets in town. Now do you get it?
I respectfully request that you consider the following articles when you vote on March 13th. There are five (5) Warrant articles that would greatly help the Police and Elderly Affairs departments.
Article #14 - Move Elderly Affairs to the Community Center. This move would only hamper the Elderly Affairs program if not completely disrupt the serves we are now providing to our seniors. Your 'No' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article # 15 - Hire a Director of Elderly Affairs. The selectmen had put a price tag on this article at $25,000.00 to hire a person to do the same job I am doing for $1.00 a year. Your 'No' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article # 23 - New Police cruiser. By voting 'Yes' on this article, it would keep us up to date on the Police Department's cruiser replacement plan. This article will also allow us to transfer one of our old cruisers to the Transportation division of the Towns Elderly Affairs Department. Your 'Yes' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article #24 - Sixth (6) Full-time Officer. This would give us the needed number of officers to patrol our town without having to rely on mutual aid. Other towns may be tied up with their own calls and are not in a position to provide us with the needed officer back up Your 'Yes' vote on this article is appreciated
Article #34 - Elderly Affairs Program. By voting yes on this article it would mean that the Elderly Affairs Program will continue to remain part of the police department as it has been since 1993. Your YES vote on this article would be appreciated
In summary, I ask that you vote as follows:

To the Editor
Tired of Neighborhood Put Down
This letter is in reference to a statement made by the Chief of Police during the Town Of Atkinson’s Deliberative Session held on February 4th. During the public discussion of Warrant Article 2012-24 for a sixth Full-Time Officer, a statement was made by the Chief that one of the rationales for the necessity of a sixth police officer was due to ”other occasions in the summer time where we have an awful lot of activity up in the heights, up on Hemlock Heights. Then, instead of just one officer on (duty), we could have two or three officers.”
As a long time resident of Hemlock heights, I know this statement to be erroneous. After reviewing the police log for the past two years, the number of logged incidents represents less than two percent (1.7%) of the overall log entries for the Town of Atkinson. ( 50 Calls out of 3039 and some of these calls involve medical response support.) The police logs are available to the public on the Atkinson Town web site.
For further clarification, Hemlock Heights consists of Hemlock Heights Road, Hemlock Shore Drive, Ledge Road, Palmer Road, and Boylan Terrace. It does not include Chase Island Road, Valcat Lane, and Rocky Point Lane.
Hemlock Heights is a very strong community and very supportive of its neighbors. I must respond to the incorrect and derogatory statement made. It devalues our neighborhood and possibly our homes.
This is not the first time the Chief of Police has slandered the Hemlock Heights community. While I may not be opposed to hiring additional police staff for the overall safety of Atkinson, Hemlock Heights should not be singled out as a factor for that decision.

Osborns live a few blocks over.
By the way, how's the Osborn
appeal going? Any chance the town will be collecting that 6 figure fine soon and booting them out. I regret having to bring this up, but town officials have such short memories. Nod, Nod, Wink, Wink.
