This meeting has been months in the making.
Timberlane Regional High School, School Board members, Budget Committee members, Superintendent Metzler and Business Manager George Stokinger doesn't want you to know how they are wasting your hard earned tax dollars. They have gone out of their way to keep the budget committee from obtaining the financial information needed to do their job and protect our interests. Please attend and bring fellow taxpayers with you. Please remember that it takes a School District to bankrupt a town. Just ask people from Sandown and Danville. This will be the most important meeting you will attend for several years. Help us help you.
All Taxpayers from Atkinson, Plaistow, Danville and Sandown are welcome.

Dear Concerned Timberlane School District Citizens:
School Budget Committee members from Sandown, Arthur Green and Cathy Gorman, will be presenting an open Town Hall style meeting
SUNDAY
DEC 7, 2014
1-3 PM
SANDOWN TOWN HALL
This will be their own take on the draft budget. Come hear Arthur's detailed and powerful argument that the district is considerably overstaffed. He bases his argument on an in-depth examination of comparable districts that have better academic outcomes than Timberlane.
Cathy Gorman will speak about Full-Time Kindgarten and its costs.
Donna Green, School Board representative from Sandown, will speak about policy changes and practices at the district that are having a negative effect on school board oversight and transparency.
Please come and bring your neighbors for this "unofficial" take on the budget. Questions are welcomed at the meeting, which will be moderated by Gordon Champion.

P.P.S. We regret that this meeting falls at the same time as a student concert at the high school. The availability of budget information and the town hall did not give us many options with the date.

So how does Leon Artus play into this debacle?
Elsewhere it has been reported:
"Very weird to see two of Plaistow's Finest stopping by after the SB meeting. They said they were there to mention how they had just left the Vic Geary Center parking lot where they were investigating why an occupied car was parked in a dark parking lot. They said it was Atkinson personality Leon Artus, drinking mouthwash, weapon (legal) in the car, waiting for an unnamed school board member. As they left him, another vehicle with a black haired spectacled woman drove up, right after Donna Green left the SB meeting. I have no idea what they were doing, sharing a bottle of mouthwash perhaps. I have no idea. Intriguing. I'm just very happy to see police officers looking out."
At least he isn't drinking the "kool aid"!

I would like to appeal to the moderator’s sense of fairness, and supply the IP address of the person who wrote the first comment at December 7, 2014 at 12:23 PM. Their feeble attempt to defame my good name must not be allowed to go unchallenged. If you agree, please find a way to supply this information to me, understanding that your anonymity must be maintained. Might suggest that you send it through the postal service, or in a plastic bag thrown on my lawn.

Who woulda thunk Leon and Phil are bonding--- crazy, I tell ya.. You two lovebirds want to know what's going on, what the truth is, then watch the budget committee and school board meetings on either Comcast or Vimeo. You will then understand all issues and formulate an opinion.

Personally I would have liked to see the reply to all the comments to those that were deleted . It is about time the administrator got to do their work to oversee the postings. While it is , for the most part,impossible to stop the posts of the persons posting here it is the administrators duty to keep things within the subject at hand . I'd suggest he/she only allow after a certain time or hour the publication of the posts. We can't expect the administrator to be up 24 hours a day to monitor what is posted here can we? I'm pretty sure he/she has more than enough to contend with in their life.
They were posted yesterday and no one replied. My guess is that no one wanted to reply.
Then why were they deleted but not by the computer . It takes some human not the computer to do that. Stop making excuses for the obvious that has happened.
Scumbags is the best way to characterize the school board and budget committee members supporting herr metzler. metzler got his wife a do nothing contract in exchange for hiring the budget committee's wife into another. a long standing member of the budget committee is next in line for a do nothing job with the SAU. As long as people elect PTA members to these positions, the SAU will remain unaccountable. The quincy principal had damaged the district more in two years than his predecessors did in a decade.
