Friel never looked so good

Consentino will challenge incumbent Friel

ATKINSON— Former police Chief Philip Consentino is throwing his name back in the political ring.
Consentino is challenging Selectmen’s Chairman William Friel for a one-year term.
Friel was one of the selectmen who voted to dismiss Consentino for “cause” last February, after an investigation.
Either Friel or Consentino will serve the remainder of Todd Barbera’s term. Barbera died from kidney cancer in October.
Voters will get a chance to question the candidates during the annual Candidates Night hosted by the Women’s Civic Club at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall.
Philip Consentino
