Take Back America!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I know people who are working under the table and collecting unemployment. They are not helping this growing problem and I am going to stop hiring anyone who is not reporting income.

How will I do this?

Tips will no longer be paid in cash, all meals will go on my charge card to the restaurant.

Do not ask me to make the check out to you personally rather than to your business, I won't. You are hurting me when you ask this.

Any other suggestions to get some of the free loaders to pay taxes? I want to start a nationwide movement to stop tax evasion.

Tax evasion is not the problem! As stated it is the "right" to a free handout the problem.

They are the same thing.

I saw something funny the other day. It was a beautiful day in Atkinson and in the center of town PVC was standing by his cruiser at the entrance to the cemetary. Is it me or if PVC is standing by his cruiser, shouldn't he be "packing" a weapon. I drove so slow past him I know he didnt have one. When he speeds to a call does he wear a gun or is he superman?

Just wondering?

Please notice next time you see THe POLICE Chief.

Its my understanding that he and other officers in Atkinson, are not qualified to carry in uniform.

I know I don't like being "protected" by old, unarmed persons with no training. I would not be wearing a target (a badge) without being able to defend myself or others. It is really dumb for this Town to be employing police who are really not cops. It is also a liability and creates an unsafe environment which appears to be safe. Very dangerous combination of facts.

Are you serious? Our Police don't carry weapons on them? So technically they are security, and not police. How embarrassing for them. I do agree though they should be able to defend themselves and the Town. Geesh!

Our misguided BOS and the Elderly love a Chief with nothing in his pants. Impotence in the face
of crime is part of the Consentino Persona. Truthfully, it scares the bejesus out of me thinking of
a 72 year old town official waving a gun around. And what if he really has to protect himself or a
resident against a threat? There's no solution to this that includes Consentino. The Chief needs to
retire and a new Chief appointed before something happens. BOS, you can protect the town from
a Consentino lawsuit. This is on the record now. You have been warned. Doing nothing puts the
town in legal peril.

Didn't the BOS in Freemont use their intelligence to protect the people they serve and remove the chief that was there for as many years as PVC? I believ they did this because they knew although he was a great guy time had passed him in law enforcemnt. Come on Fred Bill and Todd, what do you think?

what was his name? never heard this story before.....

Do a web search on Neal Janvrin. Story was in the Union Leader last August.
I think one side of the story is missing, with all the cries of injustice. Must have
been a Consentino supporter that brought this up here. Might have even been
the Chief himself.

While I can appreciate the above comments as an adult I do not feel that kids should be encouraged in any way to play "games" . My reason being it encourages them to become early age gamblers. I know we all make our own choices but why let young people find out how to gamble . The use of our modern electronics are a good thing in most ways but not in the others. Have you noticed how many kids are at the play areas? Do you see them playing sports in your neighborhood as they did before? Can you get them out of the house to do things that are better for them? All you see today is kids using their electronics marvels daily playing "games" and that stagnates them and to become fat with very little real social activities with in the home and their friends. The adults you see every where are as guilty and set no example for them in the use of electronic gadgets. Go into any eating place and see how many meals are spoiled by electronic use. For that matter observe the misuse in your church or library. Can't people be more considerate of others in the use of electronics? All it takes is to insist that everyone shut the damned things off while eating or in a church or library and limit the kids use to just so long in the use of electronics.

Great job by the boys in blue the other night!

Thanks goodness the State SWAT team was there to step in for the APD when they failed.

Where, please tell, was the chief? Did the Sgt. call on his "expertise" in the job the chief is supposed to have? Did the Sgt. call for outside help or did the chief? I do have to agree with the blog from 8:36 AM.

I don't follow everything that's happening in town. Who responded? Was it a State Police S.W.A.T.
team or the regional team out of Derry / Londonderry? If it was the State Police then why the hell
are we wasting taxpayers money to join the Derry / Londonderry S.W.A.T. every year? Is it because
the Derry / Londonderry team is run by Consentino buddies?

HMMMM!!! Where was the chief in all this? Interesting question isn't it!

Please show for the deliberative sesson tomorrow you need to take interest in your town and make some changes, we cannot continue to be run this way, listen to facts and make your decisions. Changes are a coming!

Other than a post @ 8:56 PM there hasn't been any response to the prior message @ 7:00 AM on February 1st. Its a valid question and one that deserves to have an answer. I thought by now the chief would be grandstanding his greatness in supervising the problem handled by the Sgt. and the outside help called in to quell this dangerous situation.
