Selectmen Corruption continue

WHAT A SHOW!

Last night's selectmans meeting  provided yet another example of this board's willingness to violate town ordinance,

They were going to violate State law by going into non public to discuss Consentino's proposed punishment recommended by the Conflict of  interest committee, but having been apprised of the illegality of that, and apparently  fearing more lawsuits stemming for their repeated violations they held off on that one.

They, however, decided that they would appoint a "liaison" to the Conflict of Interest committee, something they have no  authority to do.

Selectmen, ESPECIALLY YOU, Phil, listen up. there are for boards in town over which you have absolutely no authority. Budget committee. Conflict of interest committee, ZBA, and Library Trustees. And for  good reason. The Conflict of interest committee must remain free from governing body influence. Now, yes, we all know and have seen Phil try to intimidate this  committee by abusing his authority as police chief to investigate its members, but that, too, was illegal, not  that this has ever stopped Phil.

How can the COI committee investigate complaints about the selectmen, with one of their members on that committee?

The COI committee is a quasi judicial body. The selectman's action is akin to the public defender choosing the judge in a criminal case. IT CAN'T HAPPEN!

Phil, you have been violating law, and ordinance for thirty years and largely getting away with it. Take your lumps and stop trying to corrupt everyone around you. As a former, now fired and disgraced, law enforcement officer no, one should  have to tell you the consequences for your violations of law.

Liaison to the conflict of interest committee. Hmmmm. What a great idea!!!!. Who thought it up?

Was it,,,"the Loud Mouth know it all always-forever" Atkinson School Rep bringing in new corrupt ideas that work just fine over at Timberlane, or,,,the current "COI Convict" Baldie, or,,,,the "Hopelessly Greedy-cop of the moron clan", or,,,,Our beloved, agreeable "go along, sing along with me" ---get along" from the budget committee , or,,,, "That giant Moses of magnanimous dignity who came down off his personal built mountain and put the police heads head in the "Head",,,what? For serially master abating down at the old PD "?

Nah. Couldn't be one of these honorable, honest, law abiding full of integrity, objective servants of the people.

OMG,,, could it be thE Red Face,,, always sittin in the selectman's office,,, assistant to the assistant to the assistant to the selectmen?

Hmmmm. Whose brain fart idea was this?

Lo, Lo, Lo, lo. Five selectmen with no modicum of wit! Evasions in illegal Non-Public Meetings, as long as a donkey's ears. Asses or asinine, that's the conundrum!

They want a liaison to "bobb the brains" of the conflict of interest committee? Beat bones into pig meal? These geniuses of Monday nights wear their wit in their bellies and their guts in their heads. Clearly, they are ignorant of the Conflict of Interest Ordinance.

If you can buy nine sparrows for a penny, selectmen "pia maters" (brains) are not worth the ninth part of ONE sparrow.

No one can be pput on the CIC unless elected or appointed by the CIC and, they cannot be on another board.

What part of this don't they get?

They will be ignored, snubbed, and sent on their way.

The town doesn't need a liaison from the BOS to the Conflict of interest committee. They got it backwards. The COI needs to elect a liaison to sit on the board of selectmen.

The COI liaison can ask about possible conflicts before votes are taken. Lord knows we can't afford to have selectmen removed just because they are ignorant or unaware of the consequences.

The COI liaison can question the selectmen as to legality when they go into non public sessions. And then make sure they obey legalities when they come out. Prevent horrific violations that could result in several selectmen being removed by the judiciary.

Stop the violations and violators. Stop the convictions. We beg you, Conflict of Interest committee members. Vote a liaison to sit with the board of selectmen. Help them avoid breaking town and state laws and Right To Know violations. Do it now before it is too late.

SAVE OUR SELECTMEN

Quasi-judicial committee? Are you serious? You have absolutely no authority to levy any sort of sanctions or compel any sort of judgement. Quite frankly the COI has become an abomination. It's a group of vindictive, closed-minded idiots whose only mission is to besmirch people they don't like. It's too bad no one has filed a complaint about the ethics of the this board. Maybe it will be done with a legitimate agency like the Attorney General. Hopefully the voters will get wise and kill it at the ballot box next year.

ESorry fellas but the culprit was found guilty of two serious violations of the towns own conflict of interest ordinance. And it is all on camera. Tisk, Tisk. Ya know the judge will look at all the videos. More to come fellas. You think your annoyed now?.

I bet there will be more acomming. As the cameras are rolling. It's a little late for fascist political hack whackjobs to undermine the truly honest people with integrity that defend the town's voters from your organized corrupt acts. You don't like to be held to account, now do ya.

Your best move is to simply stop violating state laws, rules, procedures, conflicts, Right to Know laws, non public meeting rules and requirements, etc and it also wouldn't hurt to actually mean it when you pledge allegiance to the flag.

Ya know....that part in the Pledge of Allegiance about JUSTICE FOR ALL?

What a bunch of mumbling bumbling hypocrites. You mouth those words then proceed to violate the intent and true meaning of the very same words!

Can you acknowledge your own inauthenticity? Ever? Well, maybe we get an upright judge this time around who can set you straight. But don't worry. It's always a good thing to admit you sins and beg forgiveness.

I have to wonder about the motivations of those who blindly defend Phil. These are my reasons, why I state that he is a corrupting influence in town.

1.) He was recently FIRED for serially sexually harassing a female employee young enough to be his daughter.

THAT ALONE in a sane world would bar him from Running the town, and indirectly being her boss once again.

2.) He has cost the town and its insurers hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fess and settlements.

3.) He has abused his authority as police chief to use the PD to investigate those critical of his illegalities.

4.) In true J. Edgar Hoover fashion he kept civil files on citizens critical of him. The Town STILL will not release these files, illegally compiled, to those residents.

5.) He has lied, bullied, and slandered anyone who had the stones to reveal his actions.

6.) He has been ORDERED by Rockingham Superior Court to obey the law, Which he ignored. Then they found him in Contempt of Court, which he ignored. Then the Supreme Court dismissed his appeal for lack of standing.

In short he has proven himself to be a megalomaniacal untrstworthy liar, and sexual predator. Bill Clinton without the charm

Mark maybe a few good people will be able to take him down this time. He's defiantly squirming and he deserves it.

A "quasi-judicial action" is an action where the committee members are acting like a judge or a jury. They have a duty to hear the parties and decide on the matter after considering evidence and arguments. There is no reason for anyone to attack them for doing their elected and difficult duty. The same problems have been going on here for years and this is wrong and must stop.

Mark, let it go, dude - life's to short.....

Your bitter obsession with this man is sad
Cyberstalking him is no way to live....

You've made your point, over and over and over...

No Mark. Do it. Do it often. Do it till its over! Write!
It makes a difference. And every time I read your new posts about Atkinson NH town thugs and what the do and try to hide I get more inspired to take actions against these bums who infest my town like evil vermin. Treating a young girl like that! So thank you for the effort to remind me. I wand you to do it more and comment more on other wrong doers. Our Atkinson School representives and how they have failed us, why they failed us and the conflicts of interest they bring to our new board of selectmen. I listen to you so write more. Because every time you do I get it deeper and now I will fight them. Thank you.

To the person who wrote that the COI should not be "attacked" for doing their "difficult and elected duty" - it's a hypocritical statement since they also attack people who have a "difficult and elected duty" and they only go after the people that Leo Artus and friends don't like. They have violated the spirit of what voters wanted when this committee was created. It should be abolished. By the way, isn't it a conflict that members of the COI appoint their own members when there is a vacancy? That's exactly how this committee became so one-sided and vengeful.

Anonymous said...

"Should a vacancy in the Committee arise, the remaining members of the Committee will elect a town citizen to serve out the remainder of the term year. At the following annual town elections, a member at large will be voted to serve out the remainder of the term."

Read them and weep spanky! They have been in effect since the committee was formed. Only now you question them because the guy you enabled, yea the one that harassed, bullied residents so badly they were afraid to step forward, some moved out of town and cost the taxpayers huge amounts of money due to his misuse of power is about to go in front of a judge if he does not resign. And if you think his past record of ignoring the judicial orders he refused to follow in the past is not going to be an issue, you and he are paddling down that river in Egypt.

To 12:10 PM - This is common practice (and legal) for boards including the BOS who self elected a person after the death of the last known honest Selectman Todd Barbera.

Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority. --The Perils of Obedience

It's about time they stop breaking the laws that are in place. They finally are starting to see that they are not going to get away with their abuse of these laws.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if any old or newly elected officials went to plaistow to learn about the right to know laws.

Anonymous said...

As far as costing us money it is ONE guy over a 25 year period, 1,000,000 here a few hundred thousand there, fudging numbers on elderly affairs, refusal to follow orders from judges and legal fees. Now that is digging into our wallets for sure. Free stuff and favors for the few has cost us all a lot of money over the years.
I don't know who attended in Plaistow but it doesn't matter because the fired chief doesn't care what the laws are as well as some of the selectmen.

Anonymous said...

So why are they voting to hire a lawyer to defend themselves against the COI? Why isn't Grosky standing up for the taxpayers when he just public criticizing Conway for doing the same thing? Why is a lawyer hiring a lawyer? Another conflict?
