Is Jack Sapia starting his Run for Office in 2009?

ARTICLE SUBMISSION PLEASE:

Is Jack Sapia starting his Run for Office in 2009?

It has been commented on in the Eagle Tribune's blog, that for the last couple of selectmens meetings former(thank GOD!) selectman, Jack Sapia, has been holding court in the back of the room, in essence conducting his own meeting, while the selectmens meeting is going on. He has been talking, not quietly, can be heard on the camera, and generally being rude to the sitting board trying to conduct the town's business.

see the comments posted below;

While watching the Atkinson Selectmen's Meeting this evening, Jack Sapia, a former selectman, was holding his own meeting in the back of the room. He was talking to anyone and everyone who happened to come into the room. While HE was in office as selectman, he never would have allowed anyone to carry on private converstions while he was conducting a meeting. He was rude while he was in office and he is still rude!!! Cairnmum

and;

RUDE IS AS RUDE DOES

The public will surely remember the numerous meetings where Mr. Sapia, admonished the people in the audience of the meetings to be quiet, because their conversations were rude to the selectmen conducting business, but he evidently, can not grant the current board the same courtesy.

Given all the controversies concerning his actions, or lack of actions, during his term, we can only hope that he chooses to remain out of the public eye, for the good of the town.

Remember, Jack, there is a sign in the town clerk's office that says; "what happens in Atkinson, Stays in Atkinson", but that is not true. During your reign, what happened in Atkinson, got plastered all over the Eagle Tribune, and got picked up by AP/UPI?Reuters, and splashed over other newspapers and the internet, and ended up in Court costing the taxpayers THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, and much loss of face.

Dont do this to us again.

Wish the man would find a hobby. RC airplanes, pottery making, full contact thumb wrestling, something.

Jack, spend some more time with your kids, fix up your house, wax your car, anything, but please, stay out of our lives.

I thought Jack was complaining he wasn't with his kids enough? Man he must have no life? Last thing this town needs is him running as selectman again.

As in years past, when he actually was in office and could more realistically imagine that he ran the town, Sapia was once again holding court in front of the community center during the last vote. In a bizarre picture of quiet arrogance, he stood in the middle of the lane directly in front of the center chatting away, oblivious to the need of cars to transit past that point.

Is it a need for attention? A subtle signal that, "He's baaa-ck!" An expression of arrogance that he believes he owns us all?

Good Lord, if you must, hit us with a bit of the Old Testament curses (pestilence, locusts, famine, etc.). But please, don't give us another attempt at a town takeover by Mr. Sapia. This is a man who's most distinguishing characteristic, despite town vote or court order, was to do NOTHING. Like a burro...

We must work together to make sure that NEVER happens again...

Is it me or, when he did this before (and this time I suppose), did it seem like he was

I lost respect for the man when he refused to honor our vote on the honor roll panels. He claimed he didnt understand the two articles, Bull)$*$#! Hey, Jack, did you understand the letter from towns attorney telling you to put them where they are now?

All he did was help divide the town for two years, and cost us a special election.

NO JACK, NOT AGAIN!

He has no support and couldn't get elected if he tried.

Even Consentino's senior voting block won't vote for him.

I did not see this in the Eagle online...and I still can't find this....

Maybe Mr. Sapia is there to try to reign in Mr. Sullivan's attempts to actually supervise the chief?

It's the first time anyone has stood up to the chief in many years, so maybe Jack is sensing an opening in the fanatical "Phil Consentino Fan Club" of voters. Maybe he's going to try to apply to become the next candidate of the chief; he lost his courage and never seriously challenged the chief once he was in office, and proved his loyalty through his silence and ignorance of votes and court orders. Jack's a good little soldier for non-change!

Rule of thumb for voters in Atkinson should be similar to a rule I apply in MA. If Ted Kennedy is for it, I'm against it.
In Atkinson it should be " If Phil is for it, I'm against it." That included candidates for BOS.

The guy gets caught in a huge lie on his last selectman's meeting. And he thinks he will be selectman again? He was one of the main supporters of Lewis waters water withdrawal, and called everone in Atkinson idiots. Has everyone seen any of the video's that are on this site? If you havn't, watch them and be amazed of his giant ego, and his belittling of all Atkinson residents.

From what I've actually seen (not heard, but seen with my own eyes) is Mr. Sapia's gift for oratory, his ability to embellish the truth, his ability to lie when speaking in public, and basically just a plain lack of character and ethics.

I will say this, when he told his whopper at his last Selectmans meeting, and was exposed, his response will live on, "whatever".

Jack Sapia is an individual who lacks ethics yet serves on the Conflict of Interest Committee? He acted to illegally remove blog signs thus impacting an election. He lied about the advice of Town Counsel NOT TO DO IT! This is leadership? This is respectability? No! This is a school yard bully out of control.
